Dave Krause

Dave Krause, is one of the co-founders of Influential Drones. He is an accomplished software architect, project manager and consultant that has earned numerous technology credentials while traveling the world.

Dave is a volunteer member of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Safety Team (FAASTeam program). He is recognized by the FAA Safety Team's national office and the Philadelphia flight standards district office as a DronePro, Lead Representative and an Industry Member. Dave actively promotes safety, the importance of developing standards and the value of an aviation safety culture. He also helps to create content for the UAS community on the FAA Safety Team website.

He is the 2021 co-chair of CompTIA's Drone Advisory Council, a senior advisor to the Urban Low Altitude Transport Association and a member of the NBAA's Emerging Technologies Committee. The NBAA committee focuses on: unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), urban air mobility (UAM), unmanned traffic management (UTM), commercial space travel, and other technologies that will integrate into the National Airspace System (NAS) in the future.

Dave has contributed to the FAA's Drone Advisory Committee (DAC) as a member of TaskGroup 8 (Safety Culture) and TaskGroup 9 (UTM + Notify/Fly). He is the liaison for the DroneResponders Technical Advisor Program and an instructor for the Airborne Public Safety Association for the NIST sUAS Test Methods. Dave works with the Intelligent Systems Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in promoting operator proficiency and equipment capability standards for the unmanned industry. NIST is a federal agency under the U.S. Dept of Commerce.

Dave understands what it takes to run a successful business. He is an advocate for open communications and believes strongly in the importance of establishing relationships. Dave is approachable, creative, honest and doesn't mind taking calculated risks. He is active in philanthropic endeavors. He co-founded an aviation non-profit called Aviation Influence, works closely with the D-Day Squadron and actively supports other projects that benefit military veterans.
