Pilot Institute's mission is allow their students to become confident, connected, current, and capable pilots, able to achieve their highest aviation dreams.

The UAS Center at SBD is located onsite at San Bernardino International Airport (SBD), currently the fastest growing airport for air cargo in the US. SBD is one of the few airports in the US with FAA approval for drone operations. Strategically and conveniently located in Southern California just an hour’s drive east of downtown Los Angeles, the UAS Center at SBD serves as a multifaceted hub for the advancement, commercialization and adoption of autonomous technology in the US and globally.

The Center’s clients include leading government agencies, drone manufacturers, software providers, and research institutions. We provide consulting on drone policy, standardization and integration as well as product evaluation. We offer comprehensive drone pilot training and a site for test flights and product demonstrations. We also partner with public and private sectors in support of regional workforce development initiatives.

The Airborne Public Safety Association - APSA - is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational, individual membership organization, founded in 1968 to support and encourage the use of aircraft in public safety. Over 3,000 members strong from the international to the local level.

APSA provides networking systems, educational seminars and product expositions that members find invaluable.

Their mission is to support, promote and advance the safe and effective utilization of manned and unmanned aircraft by governmental agencies in support of public safety operations through training, networking, advocacy and educational programs, with the vision of the safe and successful completion of each airborne public safety operation.

The Alaska Center for UAS Integration, or ACUASI, originated as a program in 2001 at Poker Flat Research Range, and over the years has expanded its scope, the equipment it operates, and the variety and complexity of research projects it executes.

ACUASI was established as its own department at UAF in December 2012 by the University of Alaska Board of Regents in recognition of the importance and growth of the unmanned aircraft program.

Originally, it was given the role of leading all unmanned aircraft programs for the entire University of Alaska system. But it was also tasked to pursue opportunities with the FAA. In December 2013, FAA announced that the University of Alaska had been selected to become one of the first seven test sides established by the FAA Modernization and Reform Act.

ACUASI's mission is to test and utilize emerging technologies to enable the safe integration of UAS into the National Airspace System for commercial and public use through partnering with, guiding, and educating relevant stakeholders across Alaska and around the globe.
