Discovery courses provide participants with essential training techniques, methodologies, and best practices needed to become familiar and comfortable with standardized test methods as a training tool. Coaching of students is performed by experienced instructors, with emphasis for this class being on NIST Open Lanes, levels 1 through 3. Participants learn how to correctly set up open lanes, what is or isn’t included in a test method, who can credential a procedure and how to configure a platform for optimal flight parameters in a given or variable context. This is not a proctor training course. Space is limited. First come, first served!

To successfully complete this training students must attend both days. Participants must bring their own drone equipment with fully charged power system that is RID-enabled, airworthy and registered. Digital credential will be issued upon completion. Students are expected to be proficient in flying their platform of choice, as drone familiarization is not an intended part of this class.
